Finger Lakes Christmas Getaway

Happy New Year! This happens to me every year. I post in the fall, then November and December are a blur and then it's January!

I took a true break for the holiday and didn't do much of anything except soak up the time with family and it has been really nice. September through December is always such a busy time, and then I need to just hibernate for a week.

One of my favorite things we did in December was a little Finger Lakes getaway for my birthday. Last year I turned 30, but since everything was still shut down, and vaccines weren't available yet, we couldn't do much. My husband made it special at home, and my friends did a socially distant birthday parade which was great, but we didn't get to go out or go anywhere! So Tony surprised me with a weekend at a bed and breakfast on Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes. It was magical, in large part because we were the only guests! It was such a special weekend, and if you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Finger Lakes I highly recommend Magnolia Place Bed and Breakfast!

The food was AMAZING! A very nice breakfast is included with your stay, and we stayed two nights so had two wonderful breakfasts. The homemade apple cider syrup was such a standout. I had to snap a picture of this cute place setting.
We had access to a gorgeous wrap around balcony so we snapped a photo before heading back inside to finish our hot chocolate by the fireplace.
The Christmas decorations both inside and out were so beautiful. We snapped this before heading out to town for wine tasting, brunch, and the massage that Tony surprised me with.
After wine tasting we had dinner at this very cool restaurant that also had a bowling alley inside. It was so much fun, I cannot remember the last time I went bowling.
Breakfast on my official birthday.

Loved sitting by the fireplace in the living room with the Christmas music playing.

Thanks for REading.
