Slip Skirting Into Fall

Happy Tuesday! Now that it is after Labor Day, I am really starting to think about Fall and fall outfits as well. The outfit I am featuring today is great for this time of year, because it isn't too hot, and still works for these late summer temperatures. It combines my new favorite fall print, leopard, and a style that I have been thinking about trying since last year, and finally went for it: the slip skirt!

I would say I noticed the leopard trend last year, and bought a pair of pants over the winter, but I was also eyeing this slip skirt trend, and when it stuck around this year, I decided it was perfect for Fall. This particular one from Jcrew Factory was my pick for several reasons; it is on sale for a great price, it has that satin sheen I was looking for, and it has a super comfortable elastic waistband that is perfect for tucking in whatever shirt you choose to wear with it.

For this particular day I chose just a simple ribbed black t-shirt that I love so much since it isn't cold outside yet, a coordinating black head band, my favorite nude heels, and my favorite fall purse that also has a leopard print.

I am loving the slip skirt style because of its midi length, and ease of throwing on. It lends a casual air to it, even though it is a skirt. It is still on sale and also comes in a zebra pattern, as well as solid colors. I have seen some really fun photos online for other ways to style it, for really every season, so I am excited to wear it more ways.

This skirt is on sale for less than thirty dollars right now, so you really can't go wrong. I would say it runs true to size, I followed the sizing chart and went with the medium, but with the elastic waist there is plenty of room for error, so in my opinion a size down would also work.

Some other leopard favorites right now include:

The famous sweater blazer in leopard. I haven't tried the famous sweater blazer yet but it looks so comfy, and the leopard print option is super fun.

Leopard skinny jeans! Super cute.

Maybe you're working from home right now and leggings are more your style?

I am so excited to start dressing for Fall as the weather starts to change. I hope everyone has a great week!
