Classic Winter Wardrobe

Happy New Year! We actually took these photos on the last day of 2020, but it fits perfectly for how I want to start off 2021, with a classic winter outfit that is very "me." More and more I am not interested in trends, but investing in classic, preppy pieces that will fit my style forever. I was so excited to receive this Joules tweed jacket when it was on a great sale, and it is even better in person. What I love about it is that you can dress it down like I did here for a weekend outside, but it will also be so easy to dress it up because it is stunning and will match so many outfits. I have loved Joules for a long time, I knew about them from being a horseback rider for many years, and I love the classic style, particularly of their outwear. I will definitely be making more Joules purchases in the future.

I love the texture, length and color of this coat. I am so excited to pair it with other winter outfits. It is also the most beautiful pheasant lining and lined peaked collar. This time for a weekend look I paired it with a simple cream turtleneck, leggings, and my new Hunter boots. Thank goodness I did because it was extremely icy. We had some beautiful snow over Christmas, but it has since been warmer and raining. I almost fell about a million times, but other than that it was a lovely, sunny last day of the year. I am really looking forward to putting together more classic winter outfits, and being really intentional about what I add to my winter wardrobe. Being from Buffalo, I feel like you can never have too many winter coats and jackets, for every occasion and outfit, but this one is definitely a new favorite.
