Lobsters for Labor Day

Happy Monday! It is hard to believe that Labor Day, and the unofficial end of summer is in a week. I had fun plans with my friends downtown at the Barrel Factory this past Saturday, so before heading over there, Tony and I decided to shoot this outfit at the Outer Harbor. Sometimes I know for a week what outfit I want to shoot, and sometimes I get something new, and plans change! Although it is so tempting to start doing fall outfits, it is really too early still, including temperature wise. The day before, I went to the zoo with my mom (Toni, the new baby sea lion is out, go see her!), and then we had lunch at Root and Bloom, which was amazing, and then did some shopping in the Elmwood Village. There is the cutest little shoe store, Shoe Fly, that we always go into, but had never purchased anything. Well, I saw these espadrilles, and had to have them! So, if you are local to Buffalo, they still have a lot of sizes available there, and I also found them online, for even less than I got them for!

Anyway, I think that this would be a great Labor Day outfit. I am always drawn to a nautical outfit, and my family is planning on going to my brother's house next weekend for steampots, and I think this outfit might be on repeat!

I love the Outer Harbor area in Buffalo. Believe it or not, Tony and I just discovered it last year, and I knew I wanted to go there at least once this summer. I love walking around at Wilkinson Point, watching the sail boats, and walking over to the harbor and getting an ice cream cone. It is the perfect summer afternoon.
